My old talk page was at User talk:Idont havaname. Sometimes people leave messages there, but please post messages here if you want me to respond; I don't get any notification of new messages when people post messages to the old page. User talk:Idont Havaname and User talk:Idont havaname are different pages, since due to case sensitivity, Idont havaname and Idont Havaname are different users. (I re-registered my old user name, Idont havaname, and then indefinitely blocked it so that nobody could use that account to impersonate me. Idont havaname is now an inactive account.) If you're looking for a message you posted to my old talk page by accident, I might have moved it to User talk:Idont Havaname/Messages to old talk page. --Idont Havaname (Talk) 23:16, 3 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Your input is requested

[edit]

Your input would be appreciated at this Request for Comments. Kelly Martin (talk) 18:44, 6 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've nominated it for deletion again. As a previous participant in the debate I thought you'd be interested. Duggy 1138 08:14, 11 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Excuse me, but could you explain to me the precise reason of his/her banning? --Baxtaba 12:34, 11 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Idont Havaname mentions this on Wikipedia:Requests_for_arbitration#Deltabeignet.
I actually came here to thank you for your comment there, and to clarify some misunderstandings. Since the RfA page is not a discussion page I'm writing this here; please feel free to move this to a more appropriate place if you're aware of one.
  • There is no "dispute between Deltabeignet and SebastianHelm". Deltabeignet admitted to having disrupted Wikipedia for three months, and all I did was to bring it to the attention of the authorities. Please apply WP:FAITH and don't put me in a pigeon hole. That said, I realize that I probably have been more emotional than what would have been wise when I brought up the case; please understand that I am really frustrated to be reporting what I consider a crime and nobody has acted on it for two days so far.
  • Leyasu has not been involved in any revert war with me. As to the revertions you cite, these were clearly well intended revertions of perceived vandalism. (It is unfortunately that Leyasu uses adolescent emotional macho language, but I don't see that in itself as a reason for banning him. In the contrary, if you compare [1] with its reversion [2], it is Deltabeignet who wrote the more inappropriate and misleading edit summary.) — Sebastian 18:54, 11 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
On the articles about rapcore, Limp Bizkit and Fred Durst, a certain LUCPOL was much more lucky. Moreover, if Leyasu used "adm language", Lucpol's problem was his broken English (but I finally agreed with him). --Baxtaba 21:22, 11 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Now those questions are over. I've reached some compromises with Lucpol about the positions of the words "nu metal" and "rapcore", and some admins have helped us to correct that articles in order to eschew edit wars. They were only grammar and genre importance problems, but much less dangerous than yours as so as I can see. --Baxtaba 22:48, 11 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Carol Banawa

[edit]

Thanks so much for helping me through the process. I'm just new here. It's a good thing you helped me. About Carol, I don't think she's planning further releases since she's already in the States.

Thanks again, --Slickdeejay (Talk) 21:36, 12 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Deltabeignet

[edit]

There is an ongoing discussion on User_talk:Deltabeignet#WP:RFAR.23Deltabeignet, which you may find interesting.

I also have a minor request: Could you please change "dispute between Deltabeignet and SebastianHelm" (in WP:RFAR#Deltabeignet) to something like "this case". You could say I'm grilling him, but this is not a dispute between the two of us, as Deltabeignet confirmed in his statement. Thank you! — Sebastian 06:00, 13 December 2006 (UTC)    (I stopped watching this page. If you would like to continue the talk, please do so here and ping me.)[reply]

Deltabeignet arbitration

[edit]

Thanks for commenting on some of my Workshop proposals in the case involving Deltabeignet. I appreciated your additions as well.

(FYI, when agreeing with another person's proposal, I think the usual procedure is to put "Endorse" (or, contrarily, "Oppose") before signing. Not that it's worth going back and changing in this case, which looks like it's maybe about to wrap up.)

Nominate school for AfD?

[edit]

Hello, I see you've written an essay on your user page about school notability. I've nominated dozens of articles for AfD, but I try to avoid it if I think it won't succeed. So here's an unclear case: Eastlake Middle School. The content is totally underwhelming, but a school is a school. What do you think? Should I nominate it? (If the answer is yes, you can nominate it yourself. I don't care either way.) YechielMan 02:43, 30 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Thanks. I checked the list of school deletions that you gave me. Interestingly, the last two months had a preponderance of deletions for middle schools (Ctrl-F for "middle"), but there were a lot of keeps before that. For now, I'll leave it alone. Note that Bonita Vista Middle School is in the same boat as Eastlake. YechielMan 19:17, 30 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

dude (or dudette) you may recall me wanting to add links for a web site i'm affiliated with in the wikipedia section for the Chicago Bulls. you denied me at that time, it was a good few months ago.

however if you look at this site you'll notice we're rated the #1 basketball site around:

i'd appreciate you adding www.ebsports.net to your 'NBA' page here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Basketball_Association

Lists should be categories

[edit]

Since you are an administrator, I thought I would ask you if there is a policy or guideline that states lists should be deleted in favor of categorizing their contents? Wikipedia:Categories, lists, and series boxes, a guideline, seems to state that lists, categories and series boxes are to be used in synergy with eachother. It says nothing about deleting one in favor of the other. Since you advanced this argument at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of rhythm guitarists, and since policy at WP:Deletion#Deletion_discussion states "These processes are not decided through a head count, so participants should explain their opinion and refer to policy", I'm requesting information about the policy or guideline you derived this understanding from. Thank you very much. (Mind meal 03:30, 27 July 2007 (UTC))[reply]

Hi, I have a question

[edit]

I'm not ready for the commitment of a username. I kind of like being an anonymous contributer. Sometime, I'm sure I'll come around. In the meantime, I want to find out who else has been making edits with my IP. I don't want my IP banned. You warned my IP about some edits to Pat Robertson, Minnesota and some other articles. I would like to see what edits were made. Is there a way to do this? Could you leave a response on the talk page for my IP? Thank you.

Proposed deletion of ThouShaltNot

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article ThouShaltNot, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Ford MF (talk) 15:59, 23 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You commented in the last Article for deletion discussion. This article is up for deletion again.

Notification of pending suspension of administrative permissions due to inactivity

[edit]

Information icon Following a community discussion in June 2011, consensus was reached to provisionally suspend the administrative permissions of users who have been inactive for one year (i.e. administrators who have not made any edits or logged actions in more than one year). As a result of this discussion, your administrative permissions will be removed pending your return if you do not return to activity within the next month. If you wish to have these permissions reinstated should this occur, please post to the Wikipedia:Bureaucrats' noticeboard and the userright will be restored per the re-sysopping process (i.e. as long as the attending bureaucrats are reasonably satisfied that your account has not been compromised, that your inactivity did not have the effect of evading scrutiny of any actions which might have led to sanctions, and that you have not been inactive for a three-year period of time). If you remain inactive for a three-year period of time, including the present year you have been inactive, you will need to request reinstatement at WP:RFA. This removal of access is procedural only, and not intended to reflect negatively upon you in any way. We wish you the best in future endeavors, and thank you for your past administrative efforts.
